Important Notice Regarding Recent Measles Outbreak
The Board of Directors of Prabhupada Village would like to inform the public regarding the recent measles outbreak in our community. At the first sign of illness we immediately contacted the Stokes County Health Department. Consequently we received specific instructions from them on how to manage this outbreak. We continue to follow their instructions under their direct, professional supervision. We share the Health Departments concern that this outbreak is quickly contained and that the health and safety of the public continues to be maintained. We regret to inform you that as a result of this unfortunate measles outbreak we have agreed to cancel our regular community services for the duration of time allotted by the Health Department in order to ensure that the outbreak does not spread any further. Our spiritual community is an associate member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Prabhupada Village gathers it's inspiration and guidance from the spiritual principles found in the books, letters, and lectures of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Prabhupada Village was founded in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina in the year 1992 and has now grown significantly to accommodate 25 resident families.
